Packing

Skillful and careful packing is self evidently of paramount importance. At SHW, it is our people that make the difference. Many of our dedicated teams of professional expert packers have more than 50 years experience between them. They use tailored packing materials of the highest quality.

A complete range of tried and tested materials are used to protect your precious property. China, glassware and ornaments are carefully packed and wrapped in double walled export cartons. Hanging wardrobe cartons are supplied, as well as linen cartons, for clothing, bedding and linen.

Export packing, paper blankets, manufactured to the highest standard, are used to prepare furniture and other large items. Furniture is individually wrapped, packed and given additional protection if highly valuable. Precious or particularly fragile items are often individually cased to ensure complete protection.

Every item is numbered and inventoried, which greatly facilitates the unpacking process.

Unpacking

Each shipment will be met at its destination by our local service partners. They all share our values of efficiency, reliability and care. (See our ‘International Network’ page).

Our service partner will then move you into your new home, unpacking everything onto a flat surface before removing unwanted packing materials.
